This Minecraft map is Hawkins Lab from the hit Netflix show Stranger Things! I created it using tons of reference screenshots as well as videos and satellite videos of the real-life location, the old Georgia Mental Health Institute building on the Emory University Briarcliff campus. The map features a complete exterior and interior of both buildings and the surrounding land.

Compatibility
This map was created for Minecraft Java 1.19.1. Please use this version when playing the map because newer or older versions may break portions of the map.
(This map is currently only available for Java Edition. If anyone knows how to port a 1.19 world to Bedrock, please email me at my YouTube business email!)
The following resource packs are required to have the best viewing experience. Due to licensing and bandwidth requirements, I can’t include them in the download, so be sure to load them in before opening the map:
Installation Instructions
- Download the resource packs from the link above.
- Extract the “Hawkins Lab 1.19.1 Final” folder from the zip file you downloaded.
- Open your Minecraft saves folder. The default location is C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\minecraft\saves.
- Place the “Hawkins Lab 1.19.1 Final” folder into the saves folder.
- Go back to the \.minecraft folder.
- Open the resourcepacks folder. If this folder doesn’t exist, create it.
- In a separate window, navigate to the resource pack zip files you downloaded.
- Place the zip files into the resourcepacks folder.
- Open Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.1.
- Click the Options… button.
- Click the Resource Packs… button.
- Find “Harkenburg Texture Pack V3.5 BETA 2 {MC 1.17.1} .zip” in the ‘Available’ column. Mouse over it and click the Arrow button that appears to the left to move it into the ‘Selected’ column.
- You will get a warning saying the pack was made for an older version of Minecraft. Click Yes. This pack will work with version 1.19.1.
- Find “industrial-torches.zip” in the ‘Available’ column. Mouse over it and click the Arrow button that appears to the left to move it into the ‘Selected’ column.
- You will get a warning saying the pack was made for an older version of Minecraft. Click Yes. This pack will also work with version 1.19.1.
- Then mouse over “industrial-torches.zip” again and click the Up Arrow button several times if necessary so that it moves to the top of the list. Do this so that it has load priority.
- Remove any additional packs from the ‘Selected’ column by mousing over them and clicking the Left Arrow button that appears over each additional pack.
- Click the Done button. The resource packs will now load.
- After the loading screen, click the Done button to exit the Options screen.
- Load the map! Click the Singleplayer button. Select the Stranger Things Hawkins Lab world and then click the Play Selected World button.
- Enjoy!
